Home Series: Eve Saint Jean

HOME explores projects responding to the themes of domestic rituals, lived spaces and isolation during the COVID19 lockdown. In this series, artists and photographers around the world sent us their outlooks on living, connecting and creating during this period of social distancing.

Eve Saint Jean is a Montreal-based artist and illustrator.

“Ignorance, alienation, egocentricity, individualism, solitude, hyper-sexualization, overconsumption are troubles that bleed us in our everyday life and are all addressed in my artwork. Therefore, by exploring the complexity of our existences, my current production aims to be a critical analysis of our time. More exactly, I try to underline the discords of the world between past and future, our primitive origins and our technological wills, comfort and poverty, sexuality and emotions, virtual and reality, and more. For that, I use visual effects that put emphasis on these discords, such as bringing into conflict various materials, techniques and scales.”
