Uncertain States – Elena Cremona Documents Her Travels Through India
Over the past week we’ve been lucky enough to have film photographer and environmentalist Elena Cremona take over our Instagram account to share some of the visual memories from her travels through India.
“I find memory fascinating, the fact that you can have a vivid memory and remember every single detail, yet it still feels like a dream. That’s what memory is like for me. I’ve always thought, looking back at distant and near memories, that they don’t feel real and they seem like a figment to my imagination.
My parents always said to me, to not live in the past, but in the future – because I would always re-imagine past events and create new memories. It’s the same with the idea of nostalgia. The attraction I feel to both of them is the fact that I like to re-imagine them and re-interpret them.
.
It is I who creates a new memory through the uncertain states and vulnerabilities of life.”
