“Inspired by pop art, I am trying to aestheticize objects of mass culture. I am interested in both nostalgic fetishes from the pre-digital age as well as popular objects of today.”
“I am greatly influenced by video games. I was inspired by the the minimalism of 8-bit graphics and the restrictions faced by artists of that era due to computer memory limitations. I used these restrictions to my advantage creating pixelated graphics and 3d objects.
The techniques I use in my artwork are exclusively digital. With these I aspire to emphasize the synthetic context, the colorful vacuum in which I place my objects. I use the GIF format as it is easily comprehensible and creates a cyclical process, without beginning or end.”
